At Dancore construction we do everything we can to assist in saving our planet and creating a more sustainable environment for future generations. As a building company we follow strict policies and guidelines in regards to effective waste management. This involves taking advantage of any waste recycling opportunities, efficient site preparation and active on-going maintenance to protect our very important waterways.
Dancore Construction has been extremely privileged to build a number of homes involving sustainable elements including solar power, solar hydronic heating, solar hot water, grey water recycling systems, rain harvesting systems, water tanks and low E-glazing to name a few.
In 2004 the Government made it a law requirement to meet at least the minimum guidelines in BASIX. These guidelines are to be implemented during the design stage right through to the construction phase to effectively assist in crafting houses to be more energy efficient.
There are many ways to include sustainable elements within your very own project. If you require more assistance in how this can be done while fitting into your budget, please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information. Below we have listed some helpful suggestions and advice.
If you are thinking of introducing solar systems these can often be expensive. We suggest making provisions for future installation during the construction phase; this will make installation of these systems at a later date a much smoother process.
There is also the option of Natural Gas as it produces 75% less greenhouse gases than electricity.
